 Hello, I’m Phil Pickwick , Managing Director of Pickwick Consulting Ltd.

Pickwick Consulting was established in 2004 to provide general business performance and profitability advice and consultancy with a particular focus on the Lean Performance Improvement, Cost Management and Logistics areas.

Since its start-up, the company has provided a range of added value solutions to clients including: benchmarking, coaching, network strategy, joint venture, supply chain and work study/time and motion reviews in addition to the more cost-savings related projects where over £3m financial benefit has been highlighted from 20 different companies in the last three years.

I started the company in 2004 after more than 30 years in general, line and project management and consultancy areas mainly in the supply chain logistics and performance improvement markets with companies such as Parcelforce, TNT, Royal Mail, Homespeed, the Post Office and Littlewoods.

I am proud to be described as an authoritative, reliable, results-driven leader who can innovate, drive change and ensure delivery of exceptional performance to tight timescales and have hands-on practical experience of large scale quality and change programmes, supported by a proven track record of worldwide strategic and tactical business development and achievement.

I have professional qualifications in Management Services - (work study/ process/ performance improvement etc.), Project Management (including PRINCE 2 (2009)) and Transport (CPC holder). I am also a member of the Institute of Management Services, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Chartered Institute of Management.

Today while still offering a specialist Lean Performance Improvement service, particularly in areas linked to the Logistics and supply chain arenas, the company has extended its remit to cover many other business sectors including, telecoms, retail, wholesale, warehousing, publishing, manufacturing, postal, media, aviation, distribution, rail, power distribution, charity and not-for-profit organisations.

The philosophy of Pickwick Consulting is simple and three fold:

  1. Provide a ONE STOP SHOP solution to clients in all performance improvement areas
  2. Overcome all of the negatives often associated with consultancy e.g. expensive, overbearing, take up staff time, poor visibility, unsustainable proposals etc.
  3. Give an outstanding cost effective service with high quality delivery, achieved by:
  • Phil Pickwick retaining a personal overview of all work conducted for quality purposes and maintaining the account management interfaces between the client and project to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Supplementing knowledge, skills and experienced resource with associate agreements with other top ranked professional providers where appropriate
  • Keeping overheads to a minimum. So fees can be kept to the minimum for clients.
